I'm please to announce the rest of the 2015 programme is finalised and can be seen on the Meetings page.

The dates for the fly tying sessions at Byfleet are also posted

The Surrey Flydressers Guild is the Surrey Branch of The Fly Dressers' Guild - an organisation which aims to promote fly-tying for all. There are no entry qualifications - you don't have to be an expert fly-tier. An interest in flies, fly-tying or fly-fishing is all that is required.

We have meetings once a month at Effingham Golf Club between September and the following May. Well known fly-dressers and game-fishers are invited to give talks, instruction and help with a variety of fly-tying and fishing topics. The meetings represent an ideal opportunity to get together with like-minded people and share and learn from each other's experiences.

We also hold separate fly tying classes at Byfleet Village Hall on several evenings a month.  Fly tiers of all abilities are welcome, with separate sessions being held for complete beginners. We also hold fly-tying sessions for members wishing to pursue the Guild Awards Scheme

Lastly, the Branch program also includes occasional fishing outings throughout the year, along with the occasional friendly fishing competition with other Guild branches.

If you are interested in flies, fly-tying or fly-fishing - or aren't sure if you might be - do come to one of our talks or tying evenings and see whether you'd like to join the Surrey Flydresser's Guild. Just introduce yourself when you arrive - the first meeting is totally free and without obligation.  Don't worry if you have no tools or materials, both can be provided at the fly tying lessons.

Alternatively contact the Secretary either by phone or e-mail.
